Special presentation at Alberta Art Gallery
EDMONTON, Canada. (Sept. 20th, 2008) - On June 12th of this year, Canadian artist, Toti, had a special presentation of three large canvas' of the Tour de France, at the Art Gallery of Alberta.
The three canvas', each sized at seven by four feet, are entitled: Le Grande Départ de Vendée, The Pyrénées, and Celebrations on the Champs-Elyseés. They were prepared and painted by Toti over a four year period. Each one captures a unique aspect of the race, enriched with drama and colour.
This was the only North American showing of the artworks before they head off to their venue in Paris, just in time for the celebrations of the 2009 Tour de France. Lance Armstrong's announcement of his return to the race will make this vernissage a Tour de Force!
